According to a recent update on the case, the Mansa Bar Association has passed two resolutions condemning the death of singer Sidhu Moosewala. As per officials of Mansa Bar Association (of Punjab’s Mansa District), no lawyer from the Mansa District Bar Association shall defend any of the accused in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case.
According to reports, the Mansa Bar Association's resolution has been addressed to the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Associations, along with a similar appeal. Officials from the Mansa Bar Association have formed a panel of seven members to oversee the case of Sidhu Moosewala so that it can be concluded without interruption.
One of the Mansa Bar Association members stated to Republic Channel that,
“Two resolutions have been passed by Mansa Bar Members. We have requested all advocates of Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh not to defend Sidhu Moosewala's murder accused. The second resolution is that no lawyer will be in favour of the accused from the Mansa district and we have made a panel with leading lawyers who will closely examine the Sidhu Moosewala murder case.”
As per reports, the whole Mansa district's legal community is supporting Sidhu Moosewala's family. The family of Sidhu Moosewala will receive legal assistance from a team of seven lawyers.
