CJI inaugurates staff library in SC premises [Read Statement]

CJI inaugurates staff library in SC premises

Supreme Court: In order to encourage reading habits among the employees, Chief Justice of India, Dr Justice D Y Chandrachud, inaugurated a staff library in the presence of judges of the Supreme Court and staff members in the B block of Additional Building Complex of the Supreme Court of India.

According to an official statement, the staff library has been made functional using the state of art Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology for issue and return of books.

This initiative is aimed at encouraging the habit of reading among employees. The student editions of law text books have been made available to help Supreme Court employees who are studying law.

Apart from the legal text books, books relating to departmental examination, judicial entrance examination are included in the library for encouraging the professional growth of the employees. General reading books, both motivational and fiction titles, in English and Hindi are also housed.

Print as well e-Newspapers and magazines both in English and Hindi are also available in the library for general reading.
