Ironic that Lord Ram created bridge to Lanka people blocking roads to celebrate him Rajasthan High Court

Rajasthan: While hearing a suo motu plea due to road barricades and blocks on account of the Ram Mandir consecration at Ayodhya, the Rajasthan High Court criticized the police and district administration.

The Court noted that certain "unscrupulous people" had  installed barricades/barriers and blocked the entire way leading towards the Jhalamand circle and High Court. This resulted in a chaotic situation and complete jam on the road, connecting the main city to the High Court, Judicial Academy and Pali and Sirohi.

The entire country is celebrating “Pran Pratishtha Mahotsava” of Ram Temple situated in Ayodhaya, the court recorded in its order dated January 22. But the real celebration would be if the society respects andfollows the ideal and virtues which Lord ‘Ram’ embodied and is worshiped as an ideal person - “Maryada Puroshottam Ram”, the Court added.

Justice Dinesh Mehta noted that it was ironic that while Lord ‘Ram’ had created a bridge to approach Lanka, people have blocked the way to Ayodhya.

"While fully associating with the sentiments of millions of
people on the advent of “Pran Pratishtha Mahotsava”, this Court is of the view that the blockage of road, particularly the road
connecting the High Court, amounts to interference in the
administration of Justice. It is ironic that while Lord ‘Ram’ had
created a bridge to approach Lanka, people have blocked the way resulting in a complete road block and impasse".

After seeking the response  of Commissioner of Police and the District Collector, the court was told that the barriers were asked to be removed and the road in question has been opened for free flow of traffic.

"District Collector and Commissioner of Police are directed to ensure that in future the roads, particularly the road leading towards the High Court, is not blocked in the name of any ‘julus’, ‘dharna’ and religious celebrations", the Court ordered.

The matter was then directed to be registered as a PIL and placed before the Chief Justice.
